What to expect during your appointment
1. Initial Consultation
Your physiotherapist will begin by discussing your injury history, current symptoms, activity levels, and rehab goals. This helps us tailor the ForceDeck tests to your specific needs.
2. ForceDeck Testing
You’ll be guided through a series of functional tests such as:
• Countermovement jump (CMJ)
• Isometric mid-thigh pull
• Single-leg balance tests
• Landing assessments
All movements are safe, supervised, and based on your comfort and ability level.
3. Real-time Data and Analysis
Our software provides instant feedback on key metrics like:
• Peak force output
• Rate of force development
• Limb symmetry and balance
• Movement efficiency
This data helps identify any imbalances, weaknesses, or compensations that could be limiting your recovery or performance.
4. Personalised Rehab Plan
Based on your results, your physiotherapist will develop a targeted treatment plan which may include:
• Strength and conditioning exercises
• Balance and proprioception training
• Neuromuscular control drills
• Sport- or job-specific rehab strategies
5. Progress Tracking
You’ll receive a summary of your results, and we’ll schedule follow-up testing as needed to monitor your improvements over time.
What to Wear to Your Appointment
To get the most accurate results from your assessment, please wear:
• Comfortable athletic clothing (e.g. shorts, leggings, t-shirt or tank top)
• Supportive training or running shoes
(Note: If you’re rehabbing a lower limb injury, bring any orthotics or braces you normally use)
Avoid loose or restrictive clothing that may interfere with movement during testing
